Yacht Delivery Cost
We are not the cheapest option. Neither is your boat.
Every delivery is different. We quote to the specific route, vessel, timing and crew plan - not a rate card. Clients pay a clear service fee covering management and crew, with all running costs tracked separately and visible live in HELM with receipts attached.
Every person aboard is a paid professional, captain to deck. We do not use mile-builders or unpaid crew. Accountability on a delivery runs through every member of the crew, and that starts with how they are engaged.
What should a professional yacht delivery cost?
Yacht.Delivery provides a complete professional crew, end-to-end delivery management, weather routing, 24/7 shore support, operational reporting and live access to HELM.
For most vessels up to approximately 18 metres (60 feet), this typically costs around €5 per nautical mile. This is a benchmark rather than a fixed rate. Larger vessels generally require a higher service fee because captain qualifications, insurance requirements, crew composition and operational complexity increase.
Longer-distance passages may be priced at a lower rate per nautical mile where crew continuity and genuine operational efficiencies make this possible.
Short deliveries and local transfers may instead be quoted by the day, typically €600 for two professional crew or €750 for three.
Crew travel, provisioning, fuel, marinas and other direct operating expenses are separate and charged at cost. Final pricing depends on the vessel, route, timing and operational requirements.
Discuss your deliveryHow we price a yacht delivery
Distance, route and timing
The route sets the mileage and the conditions. A coastal delivery in settled summer weather requires a different crew plan to an Atlantic crossing or a Bay of Biscay passage in autumn. Timing affects crew scheduling, weather windows and whether marina stops are likely.
Vessel type, size and operating profile
LOA, draft, rig type and engine configuration all affect how many crew are needed and what qualifications the passage plan requires. A 15m sloop and a 24m ketch are different operations. Motor yachts are typically faster passages but fuel is a larger variable.
Crew plan
Crew numbers are determined by the complexity of the vessel and the scope of the passage. Most deliveries run with three crew including the captain. Longer ocean passages run with four where the route requires it, but we do not over-crew.

Covers delivery management and crew for the duration.

Examples
- Fuel - We sail wherever possible and run engines at their most efficient RPM based on the vessel's individual fuel curve. Motor passages are quoted with a realistic consumption estimate based on vessel data.
- Provisioning - Crew victualling typically runs at €15 to €20 per person per day depending on passage length and port availability.
- Crew travel - Economy flights or trains door to door for crew joining and departing the vessel.
- Marinas and anchorages - Where weather or maintenance requires a stop, marina fees are logged at cost.
- Canal and waterway transit fees - Panama, Kiel, Corinth and others where the route requires. Quoted separately where applicable.
- Port agents - Required in some jurisdictions for customs clearance. Arranged and logged at cost.
- Equipment and parts - Arranged with owner approval and sign-off. We have maintenance relationships across Europe and beyond.
Every expense is logged to HELM with receipts.

Common questions
How much does Yacht.Delivery charge per nautical mile?
For most vessels up to approximately 18 metres (60 feet), yacht delivery with a complete professional crew and end-to-end management typically costs approximately €5 per nautical mile.
Why don't you publish fixed rates for yacht delivery?
€5 per nautical mile is a typical benchmark for most vessels up to approximately 18 metres (60 feet), not a fixed rate. Larger vessels generally require a higher service fee because captain qualifications, insurance requirements, crew composition and operational complexity increase. Longer-distance passages may be priced at a lower rate per nautical mile where crew continuity and genuine operational efficiencies make this possible. Short deliveries and local transfers may instead be quoted by the day. The final fixed service fee is based on the actual vessel, route, timing and crew plan, because a single rate would either overcharge simple jobs or undervalue complex ones. We quote from the specific variables of your delivery.
How quickly can you provide a yacht delivery quote?
Give us make/model, LOA, current location, destination and preferred dates. We typically turn around a quote within one working day.
Can I see delivery costs as they happen?
Yes. Every expense is logged to HELM in real time with receipts. Full visibility from departure to handover.
What determines the cost of a yacht delivery?
Cost is determined by three main factors: the distance, route and timing of the passage; the vessel type, size and operating profile; and the crew plan required. Most deliveries run with three crew including the captain. Longer ocean passages run with four where the route requires it.
What is included in the yacht delivery service fee?
The service fee covers professional paid crew for the duration (captain to deck), weather routing, 24/7 operational support, vessel preparation and care, operational reporting, pre-departure and post-arrival reports, arrangement of customs and immigration, handover clean-up, and a completion summary report.
