Yacht delivery in the Netherlands
The Netherlands is a build and refit country, so a large share of Dutch deliveries start at a yard rather than a marina berth.
Passages run out into the southern North Sea, then either west across the Channel, north towards Denmark and the Baltic, or south for the long run to the Mediterranean.
Where we operate in the Netherlands
Coverage of Dutch coastal water and the sea access routes from inland yards.

Inland to sea access
Yard departures using the standard inland routes out to a seaport, planned with lock and bridge timings.

The Channel west, Germany and Denmark north, and the run south to Iberia.
Typical Dutch delivery routes
Dutch operating considerations
Shallow, tidal North Sea
The southern North Sea is shallow with strong tidal streams and sandbanks. Wind against tide builds a short steep sea faster than the wind strength suggests.
Lock and bridge timing
Sea access from inland yards depends on locks, bridges and available air draught, so departure planning starts before the vessel is in open water.
Traffic density
Approaches to the major seaports are heavily commercial and require disciplined transit planning.
Season
The main window runs late spring to early autumn. Outside it, passages are windowed around North Sea depressions and we hold rather than push.
How Yacht.Delivery manages the passage
Dutch deliveries frequently start at a yard, so condition recording and handover documentation begin before departure.
Professional crews
Passages are run by qualified delivery skippers and crew, with certification supplied before departure.
24/7 operations support
An operations team stands behind the crew for routing, technical and logistics decisions at any hour.
HELM live tracking
Every delivery runs on HELM with live position, daily reports and the full ship's log visible to you.
Transparent expenses
Costs are logged against the delivery as they happen and reconciled at handover. No surprises.
Documentation and handover
Condition report, photographic record and ship's log at departure and arrival. Nothing is verbal.
