Two seas
Yacht delivery in Spain
Spain has two very different delivery coasts. The Mediterranean side is short-hop cruising and yard water; the Atlantic northwest is open ocean coastline with Biscay on the doorstep.
Palma and the wider Balearics generate a steady flow of yard, brokerage and charter movements, while the Strait of Gibraltar is the hinge between Mediterranean and Atlantic delivery work.

Typical Spanish delivery routes
Spanish operating considerations
Strait of Gibraltar
Tidal stream, shipping separation and the funnelling Levante and Poniente winds make the Strait a timed transit. Getting the tide and wind combination wrong turns a short leg into a hard one.
Two weather systems
The Mediterranean side plans around local thermals and Mistral influence in the Gulf of Lion. The Atlantic northwest plans around ocean swell and Biscay depressions. They are separate jobs on the same delivery.
Balearic yard season
Spring commissioning and autumn lay-up drive concentrated movement around Palma, so crew and slot planning is done well ahead.
Mobilisation
Airport access along both coasts and in the islands is good, which makes leg breaks and crew changes practical without losing days.
How Yacht.Delivery manages the passage
Spanish deliveries often cross between two sea areas in one job, so the passage plan is built as separate weather problems.
Professional crews
Passages are run by qualified delivery skippers and crew, with certification supplied before departure.
24/7 operations support
An operations team stands behind the crew for routing, technical and logistics decisions at any hour.
HELM live tracking
Every delivery runs on HELM with live position, daily reports and the full ship's log visible to you.
Transparent expenses
Costs are logged against the delivery as they happen and reconciled at handover. No surprises.
Documentation and handover
Condition report, photographic record and ship's log at departure and arrival. Nothing is verbal.
