Yacht delivery, answered
How much does yacht delivery cost?
Every delivery is quoted individually. The quote is built from a fixed service fee covering crew, planning and management, plus the running costs of the passage such as fuel, marina fees, transit dues and crew travel. Running costs are tracked live with receipts, so the final invoice reflects what the passage actually cost.
How long does a yacht delivery take?
Duration depends on route, vessel type and weather. Passage planning assumes a conservative six knot average, which works out at roughly 144 nautical miles a day. Weather windows and safe port options are built into the plan rather than pushing to hit a date.
What qualifications do your delivery crews have?
Delivery captains hold Master 200 GT and RYA Yachtmaster Ocean or Offshore qualifications with full STCW compliance, and they carry professional skipper's insurance. Every person aboard is a paid professional. We do not use mile builders or unpaid crew.
Is my yacht insured during delivery?
The vessel remains on the owner's hull and liability policy, which needs to cover the delivery voyage and the crew aboard. Our captains carry their own professional skipper's insurance in addition to that cover.
Can you deliver my yacht internationally?
Yes. We run European coastal passages, Mediterranean deliveries, Atlantic and transatlantic crossings and worldwide movements, including deliveries alongside a cargo vessel where a passage under her own keel is not the right answer. Port clearances, documentation and customs formalities are handled as part of the job.
Do you deliver both sailing yachts and motor yachts?
Yes. Sailing yachts, motor yachts, catamarans and larger vessels are all covered, and the crew is matched to the vessel type and the passage rather than assigned generically.
